People buy and work with those they like and trust. As with any relationship, building client confidence requires your time and attention. Great customer service is no accident! Do what you need to do to increase your working knowledge and your level of expertise so you can become a valuable resource to your clients/customers. When you invest in yourself, you will evolve into an indispensable trusted resource to your base, and you will work within your business much more efficiently. Over time, combining these efforts increases your value and adds more money to your bottom line. This is a tremendous win for everyone involved!
Mind you, it can be exhausting to be the go-to person but let me tell you that I’ve grown my entire business just on referrals. Which was only possible due to the trust that has been built over time. An open and willing spirit will grow your business, but you have to be smart too. Establishing clear boundaries and admin systems will help you manage the client flow and assist you in avoiding burnout. When you allow technology to take over mundane repetitive tasks you have more time to give to your clients, thus avoiding any frustration that may arise because you’re being pulled in too many directions.
